Android User's: Are you safe from "StageFright"??
Hello guyzz and gals, this is very important Information for you all specially Android Users, so do take a minute to read this and be safe rather than being in problem later on.

According to one of Mobile Security Research company a research have been made and the results have found a Bug(flaws in OS) which says your smartphones can be hacked by sending only one Multimedia message. This threat is for more than 95% of android phones.

This Bug has been given a name as "StageFright"

For hacking your mobile hacker just need to send one MMS on your mobile number and after that he can have access  to your Contacts, Pictures,Microphone, and camera.
Most threatening part of this Virus is even if your do not open the Message but even then your mobile can be hacked.

The company which found this Bug have reported Google about this flaw in the Android OS and Google also have informed all the company to remove this Bug from their Mobile phones by making the patch available to them, but it has not been confirmed that this patch is available to users or not.

How to Protect yourself from this Bug??

This Bug posses threat to all Smartphones having android version 2.2 and above.
it may take lot of time to make the patch available to all mobile companies so if you are using Android smartphones till the time your mobile company doesn't provide you patch and remove this bug from your phone stop using Google Hangout as default SMS/MMS client then stop it.(it's default for android 5.0+).

Make the following changes in your sms/mms client settings.



Other than that stop sharing your numbers with strangers.
