5 Features WhatsApp should add it, to compete with its rivals

5 Features WhatsApp should add soon to compete with its rivals!

With over 1 Billion customer base, WhatsApp is the most popular messaging application in the world. It is used widely for sending text messages, images, GIF, videos, documents, user location, audio files, phone contacts by using the mobile cellular network or WI-FI.

But still, 8 years into its existence it is lacking many features which other messaging applications are providing. So Keeping that in mind, here I will discuss 5 features that WhatsApp should add to keep its magic going.

1. Add Stickers:

WhatsApp currently has emojis to their repertoire which looks so outdated whereas new applications like Hike and Line have added much more attractive stickers to express one's emotions. Even a simple Hi or Hello looks more attractive in stickers than to add a text followed by emoji. So, this feature must be added soon.

2. In-app Wallet:

Another interesting feature WhatsApp is lacking is an In-app Wallet which is readily available on a platform such as "Hike messenger". This feature is pretty handy as one can recharge a prepaid number or could transfer money to someone's account without having to install another Wallet application.

3. Live Filters:

Live Filters have become very famous these days owing to apps such as Instagram and Snapchat but still, the feature is not available on the messaging app. Though it allows you to edit images by adding text and emoticons on them before sending and also recently has introduced the 'Status' feature somewhat similar to Snapchat stories but still, there is a room for improvement and Live filters could be the most needed one.

4. Message Templates :

Sometimes you are in a rush or busy with work and chatting is also important for you in this case message templates can help. This feature is somewhat similar to the message we send when we are busy and disconnect the phone by sending a pre-typed message such "I am in a meeting" or "I am driving". This feature is present in apps such as Facebook Messenger and it auto-generates a reply for the chat message which user can click and send.

5. Option to send big files or an application:

With its latest update, WhatsApp allows you to send more than 10 pictures as well as Audio, Video and GIF files but restricted to 100MB of data on Android and 120MB data on the iOS device. But app such as Line or Share It lets you share over 1GB of data which means you can send your favourite movie or an application to your friend even without internet which is not as the case with WhatsApp.

With so many updates coming I hope these features will come sooner than later.

I hope you too must be waiting for these Updates as well, Let's see when WhatsApp is going to give us this good news.
