WhatsApp to notify contacts when user changes phone number, group voice calls in works!
Technology website Teknepolis reports that the WhatsApp version 2.17.375 takes up less space when downloading and installing. The app is approximately 6MB less in size as nearly 20 libraries that were added in versions above have been removed in this update.
The notification update will inform your friends every time you change your phone number. The feature would work every time the number is changed. Users can also tweak settings to choose which of their contacts would see the update and who cannot.
In an image shared by the WaBetaInfo, the fan site for WhatsApp, we see three options under the Notify my contacts- All contacts, Contacts I have chats with and Custom. The update also modifies 473 files fixing several minor bugs.
The update 2.17.375 also brings new dynamic sticker. You can click on the emoji and change its style.
About the new updates that the company is working on and could release in near future, the most awaited one is the recall button. Reports have it that the feature would be called 'Delete for Everyone,' and would allow you to delete messages you've already sent. The feature will work with all types of messages like GIFs, texts, pictures, videos and more.
WaBetaInfo has also revealed that the chat app is working on a group voice calls and could release the feature next year. Facebook, which currently owns WhatsApp, already has a similar feature on Messenger.
WhatsApp, which has over one billion users today, recently announced its business app. The is also available for download. Reportedly, the one who had early registered for the Business app would be the first batch if beta testers for the app.
